Who We Are
Inovalon was founded in 1998 on the belief that technology, and data specifically, would empower the transformation of the entire healthcare ecosystem for the better, improving both outcomes and economics. At Inovalon, we believe that when our customers are successful in their missions, healthcare improves. Therefore, we focus on empowering them with data-driven solutions. And the momentum is building.
Together, as ONE Inovalon, we are a united force delivering solutions that address healthcare’s greatest needs. Through our mission-based culture of inclusion and innovation, our organization brings value not just to our customers, but to the millions of patients and members they serve.
Who You Are
As a Senior Software Development Engineer, you help ensure the quality, reliability, and performance of broadly used software capabilities by designing, executing, and improving effective testing practices. You work closely with developers and cross-functional partners to validate requirements, identify issues early, and support high-quality releases in an Agile environment. Your work helps strengthen product performance and user experience for internal teams, clients, and the people they serve.
What You'll Do
Execute test scripts for complex, widely used product capabilities and components across integration, functional, API, data, regression, system, and end-to-end testing.
Create, maintain, and extend comprehensive test plans and test cases for user stories, defects, and technical enhancements to ensure requirements and specifications are fully validated.
Design structured, reusable, automation-ready test cases that can be used by Quality Engineers and automated test frameworks.
Use AI-assisted tools to accelerate test case creation, expand test coverage, identify edge cases, and improve test effectiveness while applying human judgment to validate and refine outputs.
Analyze functional requirements and specifications to identify gaps, clarify expected behavior, and define test strategies that verify complete coverage.
Partner with developers to troubleshoot defects, isolate complex issues involving dependent software components, and communicate findings clearly to stakeholders.
Set up, perform, and interpret performance and load tests to evaluate product behavior under expected and stressed conditions.
Analyze, document, and report test results, quality metrics, and testing status from an overall product perspective.
Develop and maintain test scripts, test cases, and software test and performance measurement tools using appropriate programming languages and software applications.
Continuously improve test plans, scripts, and cases based on quality data, production incidents, lessons learned, and team priorities.
