Role Description As a Senior Software Engineer at Braid, you will design, build, and maintain backend services that power our financial infrastructure platform. Daily responsibilities include implementing new features, improving existing systems, reviewing code, writing automated tests, and contributing to technical architecture decisions.
We are an AI-forward team - We want an engineer who embraces that leverage while being the person in the room who keeps it safe: someone with deep enough experience to spot the subtle bug an AI (or a human) missed before it reaches production. This is a hands-on individual contributor role on a system where there is no room for error. Every change carries financial-correctness, compliance, and audit implications, and you will be trusted to make those changes quickly and get them right. You will work closely with the engineering team, founders, and clients.
Required Qualifications
Five or more years of professional software engineering, with deep production experience in Java and Spring Boot (JPA/Hibernate, transaction management, Spring Security)
