Job Summary
At Acuity, we are building a modern, scalable Customer Identity and Access Management (CIAM) platform to support our growing portfolio of digital products, customers, partners, and digital experiences across Acuity Commerce and other business units.
As a Full Stack Software Engineer, you will play a key role in designing, developing, and operating the next generation of customer identity services that power authentication, authorization, user management, customer onboarding, and secure access across multiple digital products and channels.
You will work closely with Platform Engineering, Security, Product, and Architecture teams to build highly scalable cloud-native solutions that provide seamless and secure customer experiences. This is an opportunity to help establish a strategic shared platform that will be consumed across multiple Acuity businesses and products
Key Tasks & Responsibilities (Essential Functions)
Full Stack Platform Development
- Design, develop, and maintain cloud-native applications supporting CIAM capabilities.
- Build customer-facing identity experiences including registration, login, MFA, profile management, account recovery, and consent management.
- Develop scalable backend services, APIs, and microservices supporting identity workflows.
- Build responsive and accessible user interfaces using modern frontend technologies.
- Implement secure authentication and authorization mechanisms across web, mobile, and API channels.
- Collaborate with architects and IAM specialists to implement identity design patterns and standards.
Customer Identity & Access Management (CIAM)
- Integrate applications with CIAM platforms such as Microsoft Entra External ID, Okta, Auth0, or other Identity Providers (IdPs).
