Full description
We are looking for a highly skilled Senior Java Backend Engineer with hands-on experience in LLMs, RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation), AI-powered applications, and chatbot development. The ideal candidate should have a strong foundation in Java backend development while actively building scalable AI-driven products using modern LLM technologies.
Responsibilities:
- Design and develop scalable backend applications using Java, Spring Boot, and Microservices.
- Build AI-powered applications including LLM-based chatbots, conversational AI, and intelligent search solutions.
- Develop and optimise RAG pipelines, including document ingestion, chunking, embeddings, vector search, and retrieval.
- Integrate with leading LLM providers such as OpenAI, Anthropic, Azure OpenAI, or open-source LLMs.
- Work with Vector Databases such as Pinecone, Weaviate, Milvus, FAISS, or pgvector.
- Develop secure, high-performance REST APIs and backend services.
- Collaborate with Product, AI/ML, and DevOps teams to deliver production-ready AI solutions.
- Ensure scalability, performance, reliability, and code quality through testing and code reviews.
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to architecture and technical decisions.
- Stay updated with the latest AI, GenAI, and LLM advancements.
