Full description
We’re Heidi.
We're building the future of healthcare by giving every clinician the earth's finest AI Care Partner. Our platform has absorbed the administrative chaos of 175 million patient visits and supported 67 million clinical hours. Today, we support 2.8 million patient sessions a week across 190+ countries, in 110 languages and over 200 specialties.
Healthcare systems are failing us; clinicians spend more time on documentation than on patients, and the human connection that makes medicine worth practicing is eroding. Our mission is simple: double the world’s capacity for care and strengthen the human connection at its heart.
We found product-market fit with a freemium medical scribe that clinicians love. Now, we're expanding. Every task a clinician hands to Heidi is a patient who feels more attended to, a health system unclogged, and a clinician who gets to be a clinician again.
We’ve grown annual recurring revenue from $1 million to $50 million in two years.
To go further, we’ve secured US$340 million: a $100 million Series C led by Blackbird, with Phoenix Court, Point72 Private Investments and Headline, alongside a $240 million growth investment led by General Catalyst’s Customer Value Fund.

The role
You'll join the team that enables clinicians to work together in Heidi, from small clinics to major hospital networks. We work as both a feature team and a platform team, so one week you ship a collaboration feature in the web or mobile app and the next you strengthen the foundations under it. The hard part is making collaboration frictionless while keeping patient data safe at hospital scale.
What you’ll do
- Own the delivery of collaboration features: Take each feature from spec to production, so clinical teams work together with less friction.
- Build for other teams: Design the shared APIs and building blocks that let other Heidi teams add collaboration and access control to their own work.
- Run authorization at scale: Own the service that answers tens of millions of access checks a day, and design the data models and migrations that keep it fast and correct as Heidi grows. Patient privacy and data integrity are non-negotiable.
- Work across the stack: Build in React and TypeScript on the frontend and Python on the backend. You'll go deep on one side and build range on the other.
- Partner across disciplines: Work with your tech lead, PM and designers to turn clinical workflows into features that clinicians use. Shape technical decisions and take on larger pieces of the system as your context grows.
