Full description
Salary: $6,500 – $7,500 per month
Key responsibilities
- Design, develop, test and maintain backend applications using Java, Spring Boot and related technologies.
- Translate business and functional requirements into technical designs and implementation plans.
- Develop and integrate RESTful APIs and services with internal and external systems.
- Design and optimise database queries, schemas and data access layers.
- Contribute to application architecture, including service boundaries, integration patterns and scalability.
- Conduct code reviews and promote good coding practices, maintainability and secure development.
- Investigate application defects, resolve production issues and perform root cause analysis.
- Improve application performance, reliability and observability through profiling, logging and monitoring.
- Develop automated unit and integration tests and support system integration and user acceptance testing.
- Collaborate with DevOps and infrastructure teams on build pipelines, deployments and releases.
- Maintain technical documentation, including API specifications, design decisions and operational guidance.
- Mentor junior developers and provide technical guidance throughout the software development lifecycle.
- Participate in effort estimation, sprint planning and delivery tracking.
About you
- Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
- At least 3 years of hands-on Java development experience
