Senior Software Engineer (Rust / GPU)
Senior engineer at a defense-tech startup building real-time GNSS/SDR signal-processing software on embedded GPU platforms for counter-drone systems. Day to day: writing Rust infrastructure, writing and tuning CUDA/GPU kernels, and turning research algorithms into fast, reliable production code alongside a small team.

Skills
Must have
- 5+ years of hands-on experience shipping production software
- Strong C++ or Rust skills, with emphasis on multi-threaded and async code with careful handling of resources and their lifetime
- Good judgment about performance, reliability, and code quality
- Experience using performance analysis tools
- GPU programming: wrote production GPU kernels (CUDA or similar) and made them fast, including async execution from host and overlapping host/GPU execution
- Built complex systems from scratch (e.g. core runtime, build system, CI and automation, test framework) — at least one of the two above is required
Nice to have
- Knowledge of GNSS
- Experience with signal processing or computer vision
- Experience turning Python prototypes into real-time production code
- Experience with embedded GPU platforms (e.g. NVIDIA Jetson)
- Experience with mixed C++/Rust codebases (FFI, CMake + Cargo)
Full description
Regulus is an agile defense-tech startup tackling the most complex challenges in counter-drone and uncrewed defense. With hundreds of combat-proven systems deployed by the IDF and global partners, we are now engineering the next generation of C-UxS (Counter-Uncrewed Systems). We leverage advanced electronic warfare and kinetic measures to detect and neutralize hostile threats. If you want to push technological boundaries while safeguarding Israel and our allies, join us at this pivotal stage of our growth.
This is a unique opportunity to join a company at a pivotal growth stage and help shape its products, culture, and future.
We are looking for Senior Rust / GPU Software Engineer
About the role
We build a real-time GNSS and SDR signal processing system that runs on embedded GPU platforms.
Algorithms and hardware interfaces are written in C++ and CUDA. Infrastructure is written in Rust.
The team is small. Every engineer owns large parts of the system, from design to production.
Responsibilities
- Design and build fast, reliable software for real-time signal processing.
- Turn research algorithms (GNSS, signal processing, geospatial) into efficient production code.
- Write and tune GPU kernels, and keep the GPU busy with work sent asynchronously from the host.
- Build and improve the infrastructure the team relies on: build system, testing, CI, tooling.
- Work closely with hardware, research, and product teams.
Requirements
- 5+ years of hands-on experience shipping production software.
- Strong C++ or Rust skills, with emphasis multi-threaded and async code with careful handling of resources and their lifetime.
- Good judgment about performance, reliability, and code quality.
- Experience with using performance analyses tools.
You must also have at least one of these
- GPU programming: you wrote GPU kernels (CUDA or similar) that run in production, and made them fast. This includes running them asynchronously from the host and overlapping host and GPU execution.
- Building complex systems from scratch: you designed and built a significant system, or a major part of one, starting from nothing. Not only features inside an existing system. Examples: core runtime, build system, CI and automation, test framework.
We are looking for builders. Long experience on a small part of a large, established codebase is not enough on its own.
Nice to have
- Knowledge of GNSS.
- Experience with signal processing or computer vision.
- Experience turning Python prototypes into real-time production code.
