About the role
We're looking for a strong senior, back-end focused engineer. Our stack is predominantly TypeScript/Node, and you'll be working with us on many different elements of our platform, from:
- integrating AI into our broker platform,
- building out our APIs and corresponding SDKs, and integrating with commercial partners,
- dabbling in our Electron-based desktop application and (React) web application,
- working on UI automation over websockets / CDP,
- changing our event-driven durable execution pipelines (Inngest),
- provisioning infrastructure across Cloudflare and AWS
Being a small team, we're used to jumping on all ends of the stack to tackle our priorities effectively, and we don't tend to have static, pigeon-holed responsibilities.
We make heavy use of AI to write code at Financeable, and our team have experience across multiple harnesses including Claude/Codex/Amp/Cursor/OpenCode etc, we're looking for similarly curious engineers with opinions about the tools they use.
You should have:
- 5+ years experience as a developer
- Extensive experience working with TypeScript, knowledge of other languages like Go greatly appreciated.
- Knowledge of observability tools, vendors and ecosystem. We utilise Honeycomb.io, but knowledge of OTEL generally is highly regarded.
- Infrastructure-as-code experience is a must - we provision application infrastructure exclusively via IAC. We utilise a mixture of Serverless Stack and Alchemy, across AWS and Cloudflare.
- Experience and knowledge regarding API management (versioning, documentation) is a plus.
