Senior UI/UX Designer

Do you love turning menus and interfaces into something players actually enjoy clicking through, and want to own that from first sketch to final implementation? We’d love to talk to you.

Triband is the award-winning studio behind the WHAT THE? comedy game series, played by millions worldwide. From our home in central Copenhagen, more than 60 wonderful humans are united by a simple mission: to make everyone laugh.

We're working on our most ambitious project to date: a new systemic open-world game built around a beloved IP, with our own spin on it. A bold new direction for us! And we're just getting started.

Now, we’re looking for a UI/UX Designer to join a team of around 15-20 people and own the UI/UX for the entire game. You’ll be the first dedicated UI/UX designer on the team (and at Triband generally!), so you’ll shape the game’s interface aesthetic and logic as well as player experience from the ground up.

**Here’s What You’ll Do Day To Day

• Own the full UI/UX pipeline for the game: from flow, wireframes, and mockups through to final in-engine implementation (we use Unity)

• Design and build UI elements like menus, icons, HUDs, and input controls that are clear, playful, and true to the game’s tone

• Bake in accessibility design and settings from the start, not as an afterthought

• Create dynamic transitions and animations that make the UI feel alive

• Implement your own designs solidly in Unity (you won’t be just handing off mockups!)

• Collaborate closely with game designers and programmers to keep the UI consistent, technically sound, and fun to use

• Maintain a consistent visual language and set of UI standards as the game grows

**You’re probably a good match if

• You have solid experience owning UI/UX work end to end, from flow through to final implementation

• You have strong Unity implementation skills and are comfortable taking your own UI work all the way into engine

• You’re skilled in Illustrator

• You have experience mocking up interactive flows in a tool like Figma, Miro, or similar (any tool is fine)

• You genuinely enjoy working within an existing visual style rather than starting from a blank page every time

• You’ve shipped a mobile game before, including responsive/adaptive interfaces

• You have a strong eye for color, shapes, contrast, and readability

**Nice to have

• A passion for accessibility and usability, especially for family-friendly/casual audiences

• You see real value in user testing and what it can teach you

• An interest in motion design and UI animation

**What Always Matters To Us At Triband

**This project is something new, but our ways of working are the same. We’ve always believed that games are made by teams, not solo rockstars, and good ideas can come from anyone. What we also believe in:

• You thrive in taking ownership of your area: you spot problems, seek advice when needed, and implement creative solutions that push projects forward.

• You’re motivated by collaboration, mutual respect, inclusiveness, and creativity, and you actively contribute to sustaining that culture.

• You bring curiosity, generosity, and flexibility, along with strong opinions, especially when they come with reasoning, openness, and a willingness to actually test them.

• You’re up for experimentation, and at the same time you don’t get too precious when the experience tells you you’re wrong.

• You value a positive work environment and contribute to keeping the studio a fun and supportive place.

**Practicalities

• We work on-site at our cozy office in central Copenhagen.

• This role is based in the Greater Copenhagen area, and we’re not considering people located outside of commuting distance for this one.

• We work a 37-hour work week, with core hours 10–15, and the freedom to start and finish anywhere between 7 and 18.

• Our working language is English.

**We offer

• A shot at shaping the interface of a live game played by millions

• A tight, collaborative team where your ideas actually make it into the game

• A playful work environment where trying the silly idea is encouraged

• Friendly and kind colleagues who love making each other laugh as much as making games

• A professional development budget to invest in your growth

• Social activities like Friday bars, hobby nights, board game nights, and whatever else Tribanders turn into a tradition

• Daily lunch at a local restaurant, with plant-based options and soft ice on Thursdays

• Private health insurance paid by us

• Child's first sick day on us, no questions asked

• Endless amounts of Noda
