Skills
Must have
- A strategist first: you think in audiences, sequences, and systems, not just posts
- Operationally minded: you build the calendars, workflows, and reporting that let a small team move fast
- Creative with taste: strong concepting and editorial judgment, and comfortable directing other people's work to a standard
- Fluent in platform culture without chasing every tren.d… you know when a trend fits the brand and when it dilutes it
- A clear communicator who can present a plan to leadership and brief a creator with equal ease
- Comfortable with ambiguity and energized by building a unique blueprint

WHY THIS ROLE MATTERS
- Social is where Alec's earns attention, shapes how people feel about the brand, and builds the community that shows up at shelf
- We're building the social function in-house, and this role is its foundation: the owner of strategy, the operating system, and day-to-day leadership of our channels
- 2027 brings a dense calendar of launches, collabs, and brand moments. This role decides what the audience hears, in what order, and how often, so the brand says a few things well instead of everything at once
- The Social Media Lead partners with the Creative Director to turn brand strategy into a social presence with a real point of view, and works with the CMO, sales, and cross-functional partners to connect social to the business
- This is a builder's role at a challenger brand: you will set the playbook rather than inherit one
WHAT YOU'LL OWN
- Social strategy across Instagram, TikTok, and emerging platforms: audience definition, reason to follow, the role of each channel, and the annual, quarterly, and monthly plan
- The social calendar and communication hierarchy: sequencing launches, collabs, retail moments, and always-on content so priorities are clear and nothing competes for attention
- Content framework and production planning: what gets made, when, and at what budget, with timelines built around the launch calendar and briefs that keep creators, our community manager, and partners on track
- Partner with and develop our community manager, in collaboration with the Creative Director, building a small, high-output team with clear ownership
- Creator and influencer program oversight: you own the budget and cohesion of the program, decide who we work with and why, set the briefs and standards, and track reach and performance against spend
- Analytics and reporting: channel goals, KPIs, and a monthly readout with clear takeaways that shape what we make next
- Organic-to-paid partnership with the performance marketing team, so the best organic ideas become paid assets and paid learnings feed organic
- Oversee execution of social coverage for events, retail activations, and trade moments, planned ahead rather than reactive
- The social operating system: workflows, review and approval process, tooling, asset organization, and how social plugs into cross-functional planning
- Cross-functional awareness of brand, sales, and innovation so the social calendar reflects retail and launch priorities
