Software Developer - Co-op - Winter 2027

**JSI Telecom requires that you pass a Police Information Check (PIC)
It is a condition of employment that you must be successful in obtaining and maintaining up to a Top-Secret security clearance through the Company's sponsorship.
Candidates must not be subject to the Government of Canada OCV (Out-of-country verification) process to obtain security clearances. Typically, this means that at the time of application all candidates for co-op terms must not have left Canada for more than 6 consecutive months in the past 10 years. The government of Canada OCV requirements are subject to change without notice.

Responsibilities

• Design, Develop, and Test: Create robust, scalable, and efficient software solutions following industry best practices and meeting documented acceptance criteria.

• Write Clean Code: Craft well-documented and maintainable code, adhering to coding standards and guidelines.

• Code Reviews: Conduct thorough code reviews to ensure compliance with coding conventions and quality standards.

• Troubleshooting and Debugging: Identify root causes and implement effective solutions for issues that arise.

• Collaborate: Work closely with your team, including developers, testers, product owners, and managers.

• Continuous Improvement: Embrace a focus on continuous improvement and challenge the status quo.

• Agile Participation: Actively engage in Agile ceremonies, such as daily standups, grooming, sprint reviews, retrospectives, planning, and demos.

• AI tool adoption: understand and adopt the team's approach for working with AI tooling to facilitate development

QualificationsTechnical

Proficiency in one or more of the following technologies:

• Required: proficiency in programming languages such as C# or Java. Bonus points for familiarity with Angular, Ruby, Python, JavaScript, Kubernetes, other scripting languages, HTML/CSS.
