Full description
The roleHelp build and extend Our backend roadmap, turning identity, device and session signals into trustscores, actions and clear reasons, with guidance from senior engineers.Day-to-day work- Build API endpoints and validate incoming device, identity and session events; handle missing ormalformed fields and keep signal records consistent for downstream scoring. Follow contracts agreedwith senior engineers.- Implement and test guided fraud rules, such as new-device checks and unusual activity velocity; returnreason codes that explain why a rule affected the decision.- Extend signed SDK and business APIs with senior guidance, adding request validation and access checkswhile keeping each customer's data isolated across requests and sessions.- Reproduce SDK integration errors using sample requests, logs and metrics; work with SDK engineers toresolve event-format mismatches and document the expected API behaviour.- Write unit tests for valid, invalid and boundary cases, participate in code reviews, and follow fixes throughtesting and release monitoring with the team. What you bring- Working knowledge of Python, Go or Rust, plus HTTP, REST, JSON and basic SQL.- Data structures and algorithms fundamentals, with readable code and practical debugging skills.- Comfort with Git, Linux and learning through feedback in code reviews.- Interest in security and fraud prevention; curiosity about how attackers abuse systems.- Proficiency with agentic AI coding tools, with the ability to review, test and take ownership of generatedcode.Good to haveExposure to PostgreSQL, Redis, queues, Docker or request signing; a backend project, open-sourcecontribution or CTF experience you can explain.
