Salary: Competitive salary package
You’ll be instrumental in designing and delivering scalable web and mobile applications that make a real difference to families and children across Australia.
This is a hands-on, full-stack role where you’ll work across modern technologies like React, Flutter, .NET (C#), and Azure, contributing to a microservices-based, event-driven architecture in a cloud-native environment.
How We Build
We build with AI every day. AI agents already contribute significantly to our software development process, and we're rapidly evolving towards agents building entire workflows end-to-end. This role offers the opportunity to work at the forefront of that transformation, helping shape how AI is used at scale on a large, real-world platform. We're looking for engineers who understand what great engineering looks like and can ensure AI-generated solutions meet the same high standards as those built by people.
You've built and run serious applications and understand what a well-architected solution looks like: clear boundaries, sound data models, secure and observable systems, and code that's maintainable, testable, and easy to evolve. You can identify when a design or implementation isn't right and confidently explain why.
On top of that, we're looking for engineers who are excited by AI-enabled development and have experience or interest in:
- Managing context effectively across large codebases so AI tools and agents work from the right information.
- Building, configuring, or leveraging AI agents that perform meaningful engineering tasks.
- Using guardrails, testing, and evaluation frameworks to ensure AI-generated outputs meet quality standards.
- Contributing to the specifications, tests, pipelines, and controls that allow AI-assisted software delivery to be safe, reliable, and scalable.
What You'll Bring
- Proficiency in React and .NET (C#) for full-stack development.
- Experience with Azure, Azure SQL, and PostgreSQL.
- Strong understanding of Microservices, Domain-Driven Design (DDD), and Event-Driven Architecture.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and DevOps practices.
- A passion for clean code, continuous improvement, and lean delivery.
- A collaborative mindset and a drive to take ownership from ideation to deployment.
- Experience using AI-assisted development tools is highly regarded.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to balance speed, quality, and business outcomes.
