Full description
Software EngineerMonday-Friday 8:00-5:00Remote
CSC Corptax is the platform behind corporate tax for many of the largest enterprises in the world, handling provision, compliance, planning, and strategy all in the same solution. In addition to tax, we pioneer new solutions in the corporate software space.
We are looking for a software engineer to help us build the next generation of revolutionary tax preparation products.
The Team
We're a driven team that works test first, so quality belongs to everyone rather than to a separate function. Development is agent-led, using tools like Claude Code. However, we stand behind every line of code we ship.
Tech Stack
We choose tools to fit the problem, so the stack is flexible. Today it centers on Python, Node.js/TypeScript, C#/.Net, and React, running on cloud infrastructure with modern CI/CD. Experience with these specifically is a plus, but strong engineers who pick up new tools quickly are what matter most.
Some of the things that you will be doing:
- Design, build, and maintain core product systems across data ingestion, computation, user interfaces, and regulatory output.
- Own features end-to-end, from shaping requirements with the team through design, build, release, and iteration based on client feedback.
- Write clean, maintainable, well-tested code, and own the tests and tooling the team depends on.
- Work with systems where data security is of utmost priority.
- Turn research prototypes into reliable, scalable production code.
- Write and review design documents and take part in code reviews.
- Contribute to architecture decisions, technical standards, and engineering practices.
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and improve performance, security, and reliability.
- Document systems and decisions so the team can move quickly and safely.
What technical skills, experience and qualifications do you need?
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field with at least 1-3 years of industry experience (equivalent practical experience will be considered as well).
- Have contributed to shipping production systems where you helped design, build, and maintain the solution.
- Proficiency in one or more modern languages, such as Python, TypeScript/JavaScript, or C#/.Net.
- Experience with agent-led development tools, such as Claude Code.
- Experience with cloud platforms, APIs, relational databases, version control, and CI/CD.
- Quality tests written as you build, not as an afterthought.
- A product mindset: you care about whether what you build solves the user's problem, not only whether the code works.
- Comfort learning an unfamiliar, complex domain quickly and independently.
