My client is a leading global quantitative and systematic investment manager, combining technology, data, and scientific research to trade across global markets.
They are seeking an experienced Software Engineer to build the distributed platforms powering large-scale research across their global infrastructure.
Working at the intersection of distributed systems, platform engineering, and high-performance computing, you will develop foundational services that quantitative researchers rely on every day. The role offers hands‑on ownership across workload orchestration, scheduling, security, observability, and platform tooling.
What You’ll Do
- Design, build, and operate distributed services managing compute workloads and data access across large-scale infrastructure
- Develop platform APIs and tooling that improve quantitative researchers’ productivity
- Improve the reliability, scalability, and performance of compute-intensive research workflows
- Build solutions for scheduling, resource management, observability, and security
- Work closely with researchers and infrastructure teams to translate complex requirements into scalable platform capabilities
- Own systems from design and implementation through production operation
Core Requirements
- 5+ years of experience building and operating large-scale distributed systems in production
