Software Engineer - Java / AWS / Kafka /Angular
We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join an established technology team within a global asset management organisation. You'll work on strategic applications supporting investment management, with a strong focus on Java, AWS, Kafka and modern cloud-native development.
This is an excellent opportunity for a Senior Software Engineer who enjoys hands‑on development, engineering excellence and working with modern distributed architectures.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop and implement scalable, maintainable software solutions using Java, Spring Boot and Kafka.
- Develop both client-side and service-layer functionality, contributing across the full application stack.
- Build and maintain applications deployed across AWS/Kubernetes, supported by robust CI/CD practices.
- Participate in architecture, design and code reviews, testing, regression testing and continuous improvement of engineering standards.
- Collaborate with developers, business stakeholders and distributed teams to translate requirements into high-quality applications and features.
About You
- 6-9 years' software engineering experience, with strong hands‑on Java development and a passion for object‑oriented programming.
- Strong experience with Spring Boot, Kafka, messaging technologies and web containers.
- Exposure to Angular, JavaScript, HTML, CSS/SCSS and NgRx.
