Software Engineer - Robotics

This position requires:

• extensive knowledge of the Linux environment
• extensive knowledge of Python and C/C++
• experience/familiarity with the following:

o network programming
o manipulator control and/or automation process control
o serial communication (e.g., SPI) and CAN bus communication protocols
o sensing and control hardware
o DSPs
o ROS

The roles and responsibilities include;

• develop robot related network communications libraries
• develop robot related python and c++ tools and libraries
• develop vision, path planning and control algorithms for an autonomous mobile robotic system
• software testing, maintenance and documentation
• software support to other team members

• Minimum 3 years of experience of software engineering
• Bachelors or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Robotics, or related field.
• Excellent knowledge of Linux.
• Experience with communication protocols.
• Good written and verbal communication skills (English).
• Must be eligible to work in the US without restriction.

The candidates for this position should be able to work with minimal supervision in a fast-paced start up environment. The job requires clear communication with a small, passionate, multidisciplinary team and
extremely well structured, well documented code. Proven experience developing sophisticated robotic systems is required. Code samples and references will be requested. The candidates should have a very positive work attitude.
