Software Test Engineer – Industrial Automation (Verona, Hybrid)

ASEM S.r.l., a Rockwell Automation company in Verona, Italy, seeks a Software Test Engineer to contribute to testing FactoryTalk Optix in industrial environments. You will support testing across the development lifecycle within a hybrid Verona schedule, collaborating with experienced engineers in an Agile context.

Requirements include a Bachelor's in CS, basic software testing knowledge, and 1+ year of Agile experience; familiarity with Python, Squish, Windows/Linux is preferred.

Complete software testing activities, including test design, execution, and reporting
Contribute to the creation and maintenance of manual and automated test cases under guidance
Help develop automated tests using Python or Squish
Participate in reviews of requirements, designs, and test cases
Monitor test execution results and report software defects
Help maintain test documentation according to team standards
Collaborate with global teams in an Agile/Scrum environment
Support continuous integration activities by building and updating test cases
Learn and apply testing methodologies, tools, and best practices

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
Basic knowledge or initial experience in software testing.
Basic programming knowledge (Python or similar).
Familiarity with Windows or Linux operating systems.
1+ years of experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
Exposure to test automation tools (e.g., Squish or similar).
Experience with virtualization concepts (e.g., VMWare).
Interest in industrial automation or software systems.
Experience working in team-based development environments.
