Join Our Team!
We are seeking a dependable, safety-conscious Garbage Truck Driver to support the Solid Waste Management Program at Fort Belvoir, VA. The ideal candidate will have experience operating commercial refuse collection vehicles and a strong commitment to safety, reliability, and customer service.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate garbage trucks to collect, transport, and dispose of solid waste and recyclable materials throughout Fort Belvoir.
- Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
- Operate hydraulic lifting systems and refuse collection equipment.
- Follow assigned collection routes and schedules.
- Comply with DOT regulations, safety procedures, and environmental requirements.
- Report equipment issues, maintenance needs, and safety concerns.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Valid Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) – Required

Work Schedule
Monday – Friday | 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM
- Consistent daytime schedule.
- Weekend, federal holiday, and after-hours work is generally not required, except for special events.
