The Company:
Munich Re is a global market leader in re-insurance, speciality insurance and digital solutions. Our IT teams enable Munich Re to transform how we assess risk, develop products, serve clients and operate globally. By combining business insight, architecture expertise and data-driven innovation, we help shape the future of insurance.
Job Overview:
As a Solution Architect, you will design and guide end-to-end HR technology solutions across SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central, Employee Central Payroll, SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP), and connected enterprise systems. You will translate business, functional, security, data, and integration requirements into scalable, secure, and maintainable architectures that align with enterprise standards and long-term technology strategy.
Working closely with business stakeholders, Enterprise Architecture, delivery teams, security partners, infrastructure teams, and external vendors, you will provide architectural direction from solution evaluation through implementation and governance. You will also promote SAP Clean Core principles, platform standardization, reuse, and sustainable BTP-based extensions and integrations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design end-to-end solution architectures for SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central, Employee Central Payroll, SAP BTP, and related HR technology solutions, ensuring alignment with business requirements and enterprise architecture standards.
- Translate business, functional, security, data, and integration requirements into solution and technical architectures, identifying appropriate SAP and non-SAP technologies, integration patterns, and implementation approaches.
- Define integration architectures across SuccessFactors EC, Employee Central Payroll, SAP BTP, and internal and external systems using appropriate APIs, middleware, integration technologies, and standardized patterns.
- Provide architectural guidance for SAP BTP-based extensions, integrations, automation, and application services while avoiding unnecessary customization of core applications.
- Own and maintain architecture artifacts, including architecture diagrams, integration designs, system context diagrams, interface patterns, technology decisions, and component specifications.
- Evaluate solution options and recommend approaches based on business value, functionality, user experience, scalability, security, maintainability, performance, cost, and long-term technology strategy.
- Ensure solutions comply with enterprise standards for security, identity and access management, data privacy and protection, auditability, monitoring, operational resilience, performance, and supportability.
