The Role

We are looking for a proactive, commercially minded (Sr.) Marketing & Communications Manager to lead the regional execution of communications, thought leadership, events, and industry recognition across Asia Pacific. Based in Singapore, this role will translate business priorities into high-impact industry narratives and measurable brand visibility across multiple markets.

The successful candidate will report to the APAC Marketing VP, directly manage an Event Specialist, and work closely with senior business leaders and global marketing teams. This is a full-time, permanent position.

What You'll Do

• Drive Editorial, PR & Thought Leadership (50%): Own the APAC communications calendar; draft executive commentary, opinion pieces, press releases, and white papers that translate complex AI, tech, and creative topics into compelling commercial narratives.

• Lead Regional Media Relations: Maintain active relationships with top marketing, advertising, and tech media across APAC to secure high-value placements, interviews, and proactive editorial features.

• Oversee Events & Industry Engagement (30%): Direct the regional events program—including roundtables, conferences, and partner activations—while supervising the Event Specialist to ensure flawless logistics, executive briefings, and budget adherence.

• Manage Awards & Industry Recognition (20%): Lead the end-to-end awards strategy and submission process across creative, effectiveness, and tech categories, amplifying wins through PR and executive channels.

• Direct Team & Marketing Operations: Serve as a strategic partner to the Marketing VP, mentoring team members, managing agency/vendor relationships, and delivering regular, solution-oriented progress updates.

What You'll Bring

• 7–10+ years in marketing communications, agency PR, corporate communications, or trade journalism (e.g., Campaign, The Drum, Adweek, WARC); agency or tech-sector background strongly preferred.

• Outstanding English writing and editing skills with a proven portfolio in executive ghostwriting, case studies, and established APAC media relationships.

• Deep familiarity with the advertising, digital media, and technology landscape, including a strong working grasp of AI and emerging industry trends.

• Proven track record of managing direct reports or cross-functional teams, overseeing multi-market event activations, and delivering end-to-end award entries.

• High level of commercial acumen and independence to partner with senior leaders, manage budgets, and prioritize competing deliverables under tight deadlines.

• Professional fluency in English; proficiency in Mandarin is an advantage.
