Job Summary
This is a hybrid position with a combination of remote work and onsite work at our HQ in Draper, Utah with the work arrangement determined by business needs.
Purple is building its next generation of products, and how we bring products to market matters as much as what we build. We're looking for a Senior Project Manager to drive the New Product Introduction (NPI) process from concept to commercialization for our GelFlex® Grid comfort products.
Reporting to the Senior Director of Product, you'll drive the process execution across Product Management, Development, Engineering, Quality, Sourcing, Operations, and Marketing. In addition to owning new product timelines, you'll own and optimize the process itself: making stages, decisions, communication, status reports, and handoffs crystal clear, refining systems and putting automation to work so teams spend less time chasing status and more time innovating.
If you love building the system as much as running it, and you want to see your work in products that help improve people's lives, this role is for you.
Job DescriptionHow you’ll shape the future of comfort:
- Drive NPI end to end. Own integrated plans for new products from concept to commercialization, including milestones, dependencies, critical path, launch timing. Turn Product Management's product goals into timelines, tasks and plans every team can commit to.
- Own and refine our stage-gate process. Further refine clear gate criteria, documentation, deliverables, and decision rights so every team knows what "done" looks like at each phase. Keep the process as streamlined as possible and as thorough as necessary.
- Drive builds and launch readiness. Coordinate prototype, and production-validation builds with Product, Development, Engineering, Quality, Sourcing, and Manufacturing. Manage RTS (ready to ship) dates, and keep go-to-market plans in lockstep.
