At Wellington Management our appetite for technology is insatiable. We recognize that the world is full of fascinating questions that will impact the future of companies, economies, financial markets, and entire industries. We want you to help us find answers to these questions by building and evolving our innovative, industry-leading technology platform.
We are seeking qualified candidates to join our evolving and expanding technology team. Together, you will not only dream up solutions to today’s investment challenges, but you will build them to see real-life results. Technology needs are advancing, and this level of complexity requires a highly sophisticated, well-managed technology platform that is built by people like you. This is your chance to build something incredible. We build seamless, cohesive tools used by investors to conduct research and build portfolios. We want you to think big, to solve challenges, and have a positive impact on our clients.
JOB OVERVIEW
We are seeking a candidate for a Senior Software Engineer position to join a strong, collaborative team and apply technical skills to enable investment processes to become more effective. As a member of the Investor Modeling team, you will set the technical direction and lead the design and evolution of our Python-based modeling services and dashboard applications across the full stack - front-end, services, and data layer.
You will help drive the integration of AI-assisted development practices and emerging technologies into investor-facing workflows and tooling. Beyond delivering features, you will help shape architecture, standardize libraries and frameworks, and raise the technical bar for other engineers working in the Python/dashboard space. You will tackle compelling challenges alongside exceptional technology and investment professionals, solving problems through cross-platform and data-driven work.
The ideal candidate combines strong hands-on full-stack delivery with enough experience to make architectural and technology choices for the team, operating with minimal oversight while mentoring those around them.
