About the Role
The Sr. UPS Field Service Tech is responsible for performing preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, repairs, startups, and commissioning support for UPS systems and associated battery equipment throughout the OH, KY, IN-area service territory.
This is a hands-on field service position suited to a technician who can independently diagnose equipment issues, complete service work to a high standard, and communicate technical findings effectively to customers and internal teams.
The position is primarily based in the Ohio area, with occasional travel as business needs require. Travel may account for up to approximately 20% of the role, including overnight trips.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, repairs, and corrective maintenance on UPS systems and associated critical power equipment.
- Service and support UPS equipment manufactured by Mitsubishi, Toshiba, and Riello, among others.
- Diagnose electrical and electronic equipment issues using schematics, manufacturer documentation, and appropriate test equipment.
- Perform equipment startups, commissioning activities, system testing, and field modifications as required.
