The Staff Database Engineer is responsible for managing, monitoring and maintaining assigned databases and their operating system/CPU/memory/storage resources, as well as to ensure availability and performance complies with TriNet's expectations. This position is also responsible for overseeing database operations of the TriNet hosting production and non-production environments.
What you will do
Provide engineering, installation, configuration, maintenance and support in a 24/7 environment
Monitor designated applications and take corrective action to prevent or minimize system downtime.
Build /create / refresh / move databases as required.
Configure solutions for High Availability, Load balancing and fail over support.
Secure all databases by developing system access, monitoring, control, and evaluation.
Experience with microservices and serverless architecture
Exposure to monitoring and logging tools
Skills and Abilities
Experience in HR Services industry preferred.
Strong ITIL principles a plus.
Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Excellent Teamwork
Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of management, both verbally and in writing
Strong working knowledge on Oracle Support processes for technical requests resolution
Strong Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office skills
Ability to coordinate with multiple IT and Business stakeholders.
Ability to efficiently work on multiple complex projects or assignments concurrently.
Ability to think logically and analytically.
Knowledge of Privileged Access Management tools like BeyondTrust, SailPoint etc.
