The Role and The Challenge
We are seeking an exceptional, highly energetic, and proactive Staff .NET Engineer to provide technical leadership and drive the practical modernisation of our backend services.

Key Responsibilities
- Thought Leadership and Technical Direction: Act as a domain leader and proactive problem solver, setting architectural standards, guiding engineering squads, and shaping the future of our .NET ecosystem.
- Modernisation and Asset Reuse: Spearhead the practical modernisation of existing legacy services, intelligently reusing existing technology assets and refactoring backend architectures for optimal performance.
- Deep .NET Architecture: Design and build production grade systems around the core principles of the .NET framework, ensuring high throughput and minimal latency across varying traffic volumes.
- System Design and Production Operations: Own comprehensive system design, applying 12 factor app principles to ensure your software is robust, observable, and fully prepared to operate reliably in high scale production environments.
- AWS Infrastructure and Queuing: Deploy and scale .NET workloads inside AWS, utilising Amazon ECS and integrating seamlessly with AWS messaging and queuing technologies.
- Security Architecture: Architect secure backend solutions leveraging .NET security patterns, working safely within highly regulated enterprise environments to protect sensitive data.
