Must have

About the Role
We're looking for a Staff Software Engineer to join our team at a critical moment in our growth. This is a senior technical leadership role with broad influence over architecture, engineering culture, and how we build, working closely with the CTO and cross-functional leadership to shape the direction of the product and the team.
Responsibilities
- Set the technical direction for core systems, owning architectural decisions that span multiple teams and product areas
- Drive alignment on engineering standards, patterns, and best practices across the organization
- Lead complex, ambiguous projects from problem definition through delivery, often before the path is clear
- Partner with product and business stakeholders to translate long-term goals into a coherent technical strategy
- Identify leverage points in the stack and org where investment will compound: tooling, infrastructure, process, and culture
- Mentor and raise the bar for engineers across the team through code review, design feedback, and direct collaboration
- Represent engineering in cross-functional planning, bringing a systems-level perspective to product and operational decisions
