Job Summary:
A Staff Software Engineer at Xtract One, specializes in SaaS and hardware products for physical security applications, and is a prominent technical leader with a wealth of experience in driving innovation, shaping technical strategy, and delivering high-impact solutions. As a Staff Software Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in setting the technical direction, influencing architectural decisions, and serving as a mentor to the engineering team. This role offers a unique opportunity for a seasoned professional to make substantial contributions to our organization's technical excellence and long-term success.
Responsibilities:
- Own delivery of the systems you architect from start-to-finish, doing what it takes to get things shipped with quality and that scale in production.
- Take ownership of key software projects, such as firmware/OS integration and optimization of edge processing to deliver product goals, overseeing their successful execution and alignment with organizational goals.
- Contribute to the continuous adoption of AI within the software landscape.
- Set and enforce high standards of code quality, testing, and software development best practice across both hardware and software.
