Starbucks Manager - New Opening

Starbucks Store Manager: New Opening! The Role Outline: Your Store at a Glance

As the Starbucks Store Manager for our brand new Sheffield location, you are signing up for a completely unique retail adventure. Starting in December 2026, you will launch and run a fully operational Starbucks pop-up container right on our live hotel development site. You will hire your founding team, serve the crews building the hotel, and build our local customer base from scratch. Once the main hotel is completed, you will lead your brilliant team out of the container and straight into a pristine, high volume flagship store for the grand opening.

Why Village?

At Village, we do hospitality a little differently. We are all about personality, genuine connections, and creating lively spaces for our guests to work, eat, relax, and play.

We know that launching a pop-up and transitioning into a massive new hotel requires serious commercial sharpness, incredible resilience, and a brilliant sense of humour. If you have the retail management pedigree to drive absolute brand excellence and the adventurous spirit to build a culture in a container before taking over the main stage, we will give you the complete autonomy to make this store your own. Because it really does take a Village.

How the Village Thrives

We live our culture through three simple commitments:

• We Can & We Do: We show up to make a genuine difference and do fantastic work every day, with purpose.

• We Will: Treat each other with respect and dignity. No ego, no drama. We try our best and look out for each other.

• We Care: We care about our impact on guests, the community, and each other.

Your Remit: What You Will Actually Be Doing

We do not just need a spreadsheet manager; we need a highly commercial, lateral thinking leader. We trust you to handle:

• The Pop-Up Pioneer Phase: Starting December 2026. You will recruit, onboard, and train your founding baristas, running a high energy, high volume pop-up container while the main hotel is constructed around you.

• The Grand Transition: Moving to the main stage. You will strategically lead your team through the exciting move from the container into the brand new store, managing the massive uplift in volume and keeping morale sky high.

• The Commercial Ownership: Driving the P&L. You will treat this store like your own business, meticulously managing your budget, controlling stock, driving sales targets, and managing labour efficiently.

• The Absolute Standards: Protecting the brand. You will relentlessly enforce Starbucks brand standards and ensure strict health, safety, and hygiene directives are hardwired into your team's daily routine from day one.

How We Succeed Together

We do not micromanage. It takes a village, so we believe in Ownership & Integrity, giving you the autonomy to solve practical problems on the fly and own your P&L. We Empower & Elevate our people. If you want Room to Grow, launching a flagship location from a pop-up to a permanent site is the ultimate way to put your name on the map within the wider Village Hotels group.

Selling Our Benefits

• The Compensation: £[Insert Salary] plus an achievable bonus scheme, because total transparency is how we hire the best.

• Health & Wellbeing: Complimentary full leisure club membership for you and a friend (worth £1,500 annually), a monthly well-being programme, and an Employee Assistance Programme.

• Hotel Stays: Discounted stays from £20 based on two sharing across our 34 properties.

• Food & Drink: 50% discount on Food and Drink purchased on or off shift at any Village Hotel, plus your Starbucks discount.

• Financial & Extras: Financial wellbeing support via Wagestream, High Street discounts, an Electric car salary sacrifice scheme, and your birthday off guaranteed.
