Strategic Key Account Manager (Singapore & Malaysia)

Our Journey

The ShopBack Group is Asia-Pacific's leading shopping and rewards platform, trusted by over 20 million active members across 13 markets, including Germany and the United States. Driven by the vision to make every day more rewarding, ShopBack saves members money and time with more ways to earn and more to do with what they earn, and empowers merchants and brand partners to effectively engage its members. Founded in Singapore in 2014, ShopBack now powers over US$5.5 billion in annual sales and half a million transactions a day for more than 20,000 online and in-store partners.

About the Role

You'll own a portfolio of high-value merchant accounts, growing what's there and hunting for new partnerships. This role blends account management with commercial acumen - your edge is understanding merchant budgets, seeing where deals can be unlocked, and crafting custom solutions that go beyond standard packages.

Built for someone with hustle, commercial instinct, and the drive to close.

What You'll Own

• Portfolio growth. Own revenue, GMV, and Ads targets across your accounts, and the plan for how you hit them — through campaign and account planning, and consistent on-time delivery.

• Commercial negotiation. Negotiate commission rates, pitch Ads packages, and secure co-marketing budgets. Build the business case, defend the margin, close the deal.

• New partnerships. Map the whitespace in your categories, prioritise the merchants worth pursuing, and land them — from first outreach to closed deal.

• Tailored solutions. Understand each merchant's budget cycle, internal targets, and constraints, then design proposals that go beyond the standard package and still hold up commercially on our side.

• Campaigns end to end. Pitch, launch, monitor, and report — acting on the numbers mid-flight rather than after. Then use the results to earn the next, larger commitment.

• Account health. Stay on top of tracking issues, reconciliation queries, and day-to-day operational fixes to support commercial conversations.

• Cross-functional delivery. Work with Operations, Marketing, and Business Intelligence to scale what's working from one account into a category-wide play.

What We're Looking For

Must-have:

• 3–4 years in ecommerce, affiliate, or fast-paced B2B/sales environments

• Proven ability to understand client budgets and craft custom solutions (not just sell standard packages)

• Commercial instinct with hustle - self-starter who thrives under pressure and delivers results

• Strong communication and analytical skills

• Proficiency in English and AI tools to improve workflows

ShopBacker Traits

• Agency - We take ownership and act, rather than waiting for permission. When something's blocking progress, we find a way through it and follow through until it's done.

• Judgement - We aim for high-impact decisions, not just easy wins, and we put the bigger picture ahead of individual interests. That means moving quickly and confidently, while staying thoughtful about when a call really matters.

• Learning Velocity - We pick up new skills fast and let go of old habits just as quickly when something better comes along. We benchmark ourselves against the best and keep raising our own bar.

• Tenacity - We stay in it when things get hard, keeping a level head under pressure. We debate openly before deciding, then commit fully — and support each other along the way.
