Talent Pool | Operations Manager – M/F/X

🌍 Who are we?

Operating across Europe and Asia, WeMaintain specialises in the maintenance and modernisation of lifts, escalators, automatic doors and fire safety systems, combining on-the-ground expertise with technology and data.

Our approach is built on a simple belief: maintenance can be more reliable, transparent and efficient when teams have the right tools, the autonomy to make decisions and clear visibility over the equipment they look after.

Since 2026, Otis has been our majority shareholder. WeMaintain continues to operate independently, maintaining its own organisation and culture while benefiting from additional resources to support our growth.

The way we work is guided by three core values:

• Care: treating colleagues and customers with respect, consideration and responsibility

• Grit: seeing things through with determination, perseverance and high standards

• Uniqueness: embracing different perspectives, fresh ideas and new ways of doing things

Our ambition is to raise the standards of building maintenance, alongside the people who make it happen every day.

👀 Why are we building this Talent Pool?

This is not an advertisement for a currently open vacancy.

As WeMaintain continues to grow its UK operations, we're keen to connect with experienced Operations Managers who might be interested in joining us in the future.

Rather than waiting until a vacancy arises, we'd like to get to know professionals who enjoy leading field teams, delivering excellent customer service and driving operational performance.

By joining our Talent Pool, you'll have the opportunity to hear about future roles that could be a good match for your experience and career aspirations.

When a relevant position becomes available, we may get in touch with the key details, including location, responsibilities, working arrangements and salary.

The idea? Let's get to know each other today, so we can explore working together when the right opportunity comes along.

🔎 The Operations Manager role at WeMaintain

As an Operations Manager, you'll play a central role in ensuring the smooth delivery of our lift and escalator maintenance services.

Working at the heart of our Operations team, you'll oversee day-to-day field activities, support engineers and technicians, manage customer relationships and ensure our service commitments are consistently met.

Depending on the opportunity, your responsibilities could include:

• Leading and developing field teams: managing engineers and technicians, coordinating workloads, supporting their development and fostering a strong safety and performance culture

• Overseeing day-to-day operations: planning resources, managing priorities and ensuring maintenance, callouts and repairs are delivered safely and efficiently

• Managing customer relationships: acting as a key operational contact, handling escalations, resolving service issues and building long-term customer trust

• Monitoring operational performance: tracking SLAs, response times, callbacks, productivity and service quality, while identifying areas for improvement

• Maintaining commercial and operational control: overseeing operational costs, resource allocation and contract performance, working closely with Sales and other internal teams

You'll also collaborate with technical specialists and other departments to resolve complex issues, improve processes and ensure a consistent level of service.

The exact responsibilities, team size and geographical coverage will depend on the opportunity available.

🔧 What makes this role different at WeMaintain?

At WeMaintain, we believe great operational performance starts with empowered teams, strong leadership and the right tools.

Here's what makes our approach different:

• Real ownership: take responsibility for your operational portfolio, with the autonomy to make decisions and drive improvements

• A people-first approach: support and develop engineers, encourage collaboration and create an environment where everyone can perform at their best

• Technology that makes a difference: use our digital tools and operational data to gain visibility, anticipate issues and improve service delivery

• The opportunity to make an impact: help shape our processes, improve customer experience and contribute to the continued development of our UK operations

This is a hands-on management role, combining time with field teams and customers with operational planning, reporting and performance management.

👑 Who are we looking for?

We'd love to connect with experienced operational leaders who understand the challenges of managing field-based teams while delivering excellent service to customers.

The essentials

• Proven experience managing field-based engineers, technicians or mobile service teams

• Strong leadership skills, with a genuine interest in coaching and developing people

• Experience coordinating operational activities, managing priorities and delivering against service commitments

• Commercial awareness, including cost control, contract performance and resource management

• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with the confidence to manage customer relationships and complex situations

Nice to have

• Previous experience in the lift and escalator industry or a related technical maintenance environment

• Knowledge of maintenance contracts, service level agreements and relevant health and safety requirements

• Experience using operational management systems, reporting tools or performance dashboards

These would certainly be advantages, but they're not all essential. If you have strong operational management experience in a related service industry, we'd still encourage you to apply.

🎁 What do we offer?

The exact package will depend on the opportunity available, but here's what future Operations Manager positions at WeMaintain UK may offer:

• An indicative base salary of £50,000 to £60,000 gross per annum, based on the scope and experience requirements of previous positions

• A role with genuine autonomy and ownership over your operational portfolio

• The opportunity to lead and develop teams while making a tangible impact on service quality and customer satisfaction

• A collaborative environment with strong support from technical, commercial and operational teams

• Access to digital tools designed to make day-to-day operations more efficient and transparent

• Opportunities for professional development and internal mobility

• A workplace pension scheme and annual leave in line with the applicable employment package

• Additional benefits and role-specific allowances, where applicable

Previous opportunities have been based in London, with a combination of office-based work and field visits.

The exact salary, location, working arrangements and benefits will be confirmed when a relevant opportunity becomes available.
