Talent Pool | Project Manager – Modernisation & New Install – M/F/X

🌍 Who are we?

Operating across Europe and Asia, WeMaintain specialises in the maintenance and modernisation of lifts, escalators, automatic doors and fire safety systems, combining on-the-ground expertise with technology and data.

Our approach is built on a simple belief: maintenance can be more reliable, transparent and efficient when teams have the right tools, the autonomy to make decisions and clear visibility over the equipment they look after.

Since 2026, Otis has been our majority shareholder. WeMaintain continues to operate independently, maintaining its own organisation and culture while benefiting from additional resources to support our growth.

The way we work is guided by three core values:

• Care: treating colleagues and customers with respect, consideration and responsibility

• Grit: seeing things through with determination, perseverance and high standards

• Uniqueness: embracing different perspectives, fresh ideas and new ways of doing things

Our ambition is to raise the standards of building maintenance, alongside the people who make it happen every day.

👀 Why are we building this Talent Pool?

This is not an advertisement for a currently open vacancy.

As WeMaintain continues to develop its Modernisation and New Installation activity in the UK, we're keen to connect with experienced Project Managers who might be interested in joining us in the future.

Rather than waiting until a position becomes available, we'd like to get to know professionals who share our commitment to delivering safe, high-quality projects and building strong client relationships.

By joining our Talent Pool, you'll have the opportunity to hear about future roles that could match your experience and career aspirations.

When a relevant position becomes available, we may get in touch with the key details, including location, responsibilities, working arrangements and salary.

The idea? Let's get to know each other today, so we can explore working together when the right opportunity comes along.

🔎 The Project Manager – Modernisation & New Install role at WeMaintain

As a Project Manager within our Modernisation team, you'll play a key role in delivering technically complex lift modernisation and new installation projects.

From initial planning through to commissioning and handover, you'll be responsible for ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget and to the highest quality standards.

Depending on the opportunity, your responsibilities could include:

• Leading lift modernisation and new installation projects from kick-off to completion, coordinating programmes, resources and key milestones

• Managing multiple projects simultaneously, balancing site requirements, supplier timelines, subcontractor activities and client expectations

• Acting as the main point of contact for clients, consultants and other stakeholders, ensuring clear and proactive communication

• Overseeing project budgets, variations, forecasts and commercial risks while maintaining strong financial control

• Ensuring compliance with UK health and safety standards, technical documentation, RAMS and quality requirements

• Working closely with Sales, Operations, Engineering and field teams to ensure smooth project delivery and successful handovers

The role involves regular site visits, alongside planning, reporting and stakeholder management. The exact geographical coverage, responsibilities and working arrangements will depend on the position available.

🔧 What makes this role different at WeMaintain?

At WeMaintain, we believe Project Managers should have the autonomy, tools and support they need to deliver exceptional projects.

Here's what makes our approach different:

• Real ownership: take responsibility for your projects from start to finish, with the autonomy to make decisions and drive delivery

• A collaborative environment: work closely with technical specialists, engineers and operational teams who share your commitment to quality

• Technology that supports delivery: benefit from digital tools and a data-driven approach to project management

• The opportunity to make an impact: contribute to improving processes, raising delivery standards and supporting the growth of our Modernisation activity

We're looking for people who take pride in their work, communicate clearly and know how to keep projects moving, even when challenges arise.

👑 Who are we looking for?

We'd love to connect with experienced Project Managers who understand the technical, operational and commercial realities of delivering lift modernisation and new installation projects.

The essentials

• Solid project management experience within the lift industry, particularly in modernisation, new installations or both

• Strong understanding of lift systems, installation processes, site constraints and UK health and safety requirements

• Proven ability to manage complex technical projects, coordinate multiple stakeholders and deliver against agreed timelines

• Commercial awareness, including experience managing budgets, variations, risks and forecasts

• Excellent organisational, communication and problem-solving skills, with a proactive and hands-on approach

Nice to have

• Experience delivering both modernisation and new installation projects, including multi-unit or complex programmes

• Relevant UK site safety qualifications, such as SMSTS or SSSTS

• A recognised project management qualification, such as PRINCE2, APM or PMP

• Familiarity with project management tools such as MS Project, Smartsheet or similar platforms

• Experience working with consultants, main contractors or client-side project managers

These would certainly be advantages, but they're not all essential. If you have strong experience in lift projects but don't tick every box, we'd still encourage you to apply.

🎁 What do we offer?

The exact package will depend on the opportunity available, but here's what future Project Manager positions at WeMaintain UK may offer:

• An indicative base salary of £60,000 to £70,000 gross per annum, based on the scope and experience requirements of previous positions

• A role with real autonomy, ownership and visibility within our Modernisation activity

• The opportunity to manage technically challenging projects and contribute to improving how they are delivered

• A supportive team and a culture built on trust, transparency and respect

• Access to tools and technology designed to support effective project delivery

• Opportunities for professional development and career progression

The exact salary, location, working arrangements and benefits will be confirmed when a relevant opportunity becomes available.
