Technical Customer Support Representative (Bilingual French/English)

Technical Customer Support Representative (Bilingual French/English), CHEF iQMahwah, NJ | Remote to start, hybrid within 12 months | $18 to $22/hourVous parlez français et anglais ? C’est vous qu’on cherche ! 🇫🇷🍳📱

At CHEF iQ, we make smart kitchen appliances that take the guesswork out of cooking. Our wireless smart thermometers tell you when your steak is perfect, our app-connected cookers and ovens let you walk away while dinner handles itself, and our customers love them.

We’re looking for a tech-savvy support pro who is fully fluent in French and English to be the go-to expert for our French-speaking customers. When something isn’t working right, you’ll turn a frustrating moment into a “wow, c’était facile!”

What you’ll do

• Support customers in French and English by phone, email, chat, and social media.

• Troubleshoot Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and app pairing so customers get back to cooking fast.

• Look up orders, inventory, and replacement parts, and make sure the right part goes to the right model every time.

• Handle warranty questions, returns, recalls, and terms of sale with care.

• Keep clean, detailed records of every interaction and own your follow-ups.

• Share what customers are telling us with our Software, Hardware, and Product Development teams.

What you bring

• Fluent spoken and written French and English. This is a must.

• 2+ years of customer support experience, ideally technical support.

• A knack for connectivity troubleshooting. You know your way around Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and devices that won’t talk to each other.

• Experience in a CRM or ticketing system. Salesforce is a big plus.

• Working knowledge of Windows, networking basics, PC hardware, and Microsoft Office.

• A sharp eye for detail. Model numbers and part numbers don’t trip you up.

• A friendly, upbeat way with people, even when a customer is having a rough day.

• You can juggle a busy queue and still give every customer your full attention.

• A quiet home workspace and reliable internet for the remote period.

Why you’ll love it here

• Your languages matter. You’ll be a key voice for our French-speaking customers.

• Real ownership. No micromanaging. You’ll make judgment calls and own your work, with a manager who coaches you to grow.

• Hands on with cool tech. You’ll learn our smart kitchen products inside and out, and maybe test a few in your own kitchen.

• Room to grow. We’re one of the fastest growing brands in the kitchen space, and our team members get promoted from within.

The fine print

This role is based out of our Mahwah, NJ office. You’ll start remote and move to a hybrid schedule in the office within 12 months, so you’ll need to live within commuting distance. Expect occasional in-person training and team sessions in Mahwah along the way.
