ABOUT VIMLY
Vimly is a growth-stage, PE-backed benefits administration technology company on a mission to make benefits simpler, smarter, and more accessible. We serve mid-market employers with a modern, integrated platform that replaces the complexity and fragmentation of legacy benefits systems. We are growing fast.
We are building something real in a market that rewards trust, expertise, and execution.
ABOUT THE ROLE
As a Technical Process Automation Engineer, you'll build and deliver tools/systems that will automate manual tasks freeing up staff time to delight customers. You'll map current processes, define requirements, and then write the code, integrations, and data pipelines that replace the manual work. You'll work with functional teams to build automated workflows that turn raw data into insights people can act on.
We're looking for someone who thrives in ambiguity, embraces difficult technical challenges, and is excited to analyze business processes and build automation from the ground up. This is not a role focused on maintaining existing systems. It is an opportunity to design, develop, deploy, and continuously improve automated solutions that deliver real business value. You'll need a tenacious problem-solving mindset and a love for building the "glue" that connects systems.
IN A TYPICAL DAY, YOU MIGHT
Embed yourself within business teams to map workflows, document requirements, and identify pain points, repetitive tasks, and operational bottlenecks.
- Identify opportunities where scripting, workflow automation, system integrations, and AI where it fits can replace or reduce manual effort.
- Partner with functional teams to spot problems and build automated solutions.
- Build automated workflows that connect data across systems and deliver insights teams can use right away.
- Document processes, requirements, and solutions so teams can use and support what you build.
- Build and maintain the infrastructure behind our automation, including custom tools, server-side logic, integrations, and data pipelines.
- Source, clean, and prepare data for reporting, analytics, and automated workflows.
- Analyze data to find insights and validate data integrity.
- Translate business needs into technical solutions and work with other engineers to deliver them.
- Test, deploy, and support your solutions with solid error handling, logging, and version control.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
- Experience as a business process analyst or programmer analyst, working closely with business stakeholders, ideally in services, finance, sales operations, or business operations, and the ability to quickly understand, map, and document unfamiliar processes and spot opportunities for automation and improvement.
