About Rimac Energy
Rimac Energy is a rapidly growing division of Rimac Group, developing next-generation battery energy storage and power conversion technology for grid-scale and commercial energy applications. Building on Rimac’s expertise in battery systems, power electronics and software, we are developing highly integrated BESS and PCS products for deployment across global markets, with an initial focus on the United States followed by Europe.
We are seeking an experienced Verification, Validation and Test (VVT) Engineer to take ownership of test engineering for our energy storage products. You will plan and run verification and validation campaigns, own failure analysis, and make sure every test produces the traceable evidence needed for certification. This role carries forward established test methods and knowledge through a structured handover, so you will join early enough to learn the existing rigs, procedures and certification approach before taking full ownership. The ideal candidate combines hands-on test experience with high-voltage battery and power electronics systems, a disciplined approach to evidence, and a passion for sustainable energy.
Key Responsibilities:
- Own the verification and validation test plans for products, from requirements and test specifications through to final reports.
- Take over and maintain the certification test methods, keeping procedures, test cases and acceptance criteria current and repeatable.
- Carry out performance, reliability, safety and environmental testing on battery, power electronics and system-level hardware.
- Lead failure analysis and root-cause investigations, working with design, integration and software teams to close issues and confirm fixes through retest.
- Produce clear, auditable test evidence and reports that support certification submissions and technical files, working closely with the Compliance Engineer.
- Maintain traceability between requirements, test cases and results so that test outcomes can be shown against the relevant standards.
- Define rig, fixture and instrumentation requirements, and direct test technicians in rig preparation, safe operation and data collection.
- Develop and improve test automation and data analysis using tools such as Python and LabVIEW.
- Support testing at external certification laboratories and test facilities, and act as a technical point of contact during witness testing.
- Communicate test progress, risks and results to engineering leads and programme stakeholders.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
