Role Overview:
The role is the single point of accountability for the integrity, speed and credibility of every assessment the University conducts and every credential it issues. The mandate is to convert the examination function from a custodial, calendar-driven office into a governed, data-driven and largely automated service: results on time, without error, without leak, and verifiable by any employer or regulator within minutes. This is a target-based leadership role, measured on outcomes, not on effort.
Key Responsibilities:1. Examination Planning
- Prepare the annual examination calendar, aligned to the academic calendar and every partner cohort
- Plan centres, seating, invigilation and logistics capacity
- Constitute examiner panels from Board of Studies–approved lists
- Own and update the Examination Manual and SOPs
- Freeze eligibility (registration, attendance, fees) before each cycle
2. Assessment Design & Quality
- Introduce outcome-based blueprints mapped to course outcomes, programme outcomes and Bloom's levels
- Build and maintain a tagged, secure question bank
- Enforce separation of paper setter, moderator and evaluator
- Run item analysis and post-examination paper review each cycle
- Compute and publish CO–PO attainment
3. Secure Conduct
- Encrypted, just-in-time delivery of question papers
- Readiness audits of every centre, including partner and industry sites
- University-appointed observers at every off-campus site
- CCTV and proctoring with human review of every flag
- Fair, time-bound unfair-means process
