We embed ethics and equity in our work and workplace. We are better together; partnership is at our core. We ask and listen, to create sustainable solutions for a healthier tomorrow. We commit to quality, growing and improving to ensure individuals and communities thrive. About Americares Medicine Security Work and Vision: Medicine security ensures all people have quality medicines and medical supplies when they need them by expanding access to essential medicines and supplies, empowering communities to achieve better health outcomes. At present, significant barriers prevent widespread access to quality medicines. These barriers—such as high costs, insufficient healthcare infrastructure, regulatory challenges, limited supply chain resilience, and socioeconomic determinants—do not exist in isolation. Instead, they are interconnected, reinforcing one another and deepening disparities. Addressing these challenges requires a systematic approach that not only improves supply chains but also strengthens health systems, removes financial barriers, and fosters collaboration. To improve health outcomes for patients and communities, Americares increases accessibility, availability, affordability and acceptability of medicine and supplies for partners. We are one of the leading global nonprofit providers of donated medicine and medical supplies, distributing approximately $2 billion in medicine and supplies to 85 countries and all 50 states in the United States through our distribution center and global network of third-party logistics providers. Medicines and medical supplies are typically sourced through donations from pharmaceutical and medical supplies partners as well as through procurement. As a deeply collaborative organization whose model is rooted in global-local partnership, we have an unrivaled network of over 4000 local, national and international health and social service partners receiving our health commodities. Moving forward, Americares is redefining its Medicine Security strategy by engaging more deeply with existing partners, diversifying its global network of donors and local partners, and leading scalable and high-impact initiatives that expand product access. About the Position: The Vice President, Global Product Partnerships sits on the Medicine Security Leadership Team and serves as the strategic leader responsible for shaping and executing Americares global product access and sourcing strategy. This role will help lead the evolution of Medicine Security from a model built predominantly on ad-hoc Gift-in-Kind (GIK) donations toward one that is more diversified, resilient, and predictable. As the organization's primary external voice on product supply, this position is responsible for building and stewarding relationships with pharmaceutical manufacturers, medical supply companies, distributors, wholesalers, foundations, and other industry partners to secure essential medicines and health commodities for partners around the world, including the United States. The VP oversees Americares significant GIK portfolio, its Patient Assistance Programs, and a future state sourcing and procurement function, setting the forward strategy to expand and diversify our global donor and supplier network while opening new channels for product access. This work strengthens supply chain resilience, sharpens alignment with documented patient needs, and expands Americares strategic relevance in a rapidly changing global health ecosystem. This is a growth role as much as a stewardship role. Success depends on a strong global health and commercial orientation: knowing the industry deeply, targeting deliberately, articulating a compelling value proposition, and reporting results in a way that earns the next commitment.
