Video Editor Full-Time | Remote
Position Overview
We’re seeking a talented and experienced Video Editor to join our fast-growing creative team. This full-time remote position sits at the intersection of Marketing and Branding and plays a key role in creating dynamic, professional video content for digital advertising, social media, and brand storytelling.
We’re looking for more than a great editor. We want someone who is constantly exploring better, faster, and smarter ways to create.
The ideal candidate combines strong creative instincts and traditional editing expertise with hands-on experience using AI to improve production workflows, increase efficiency, and expand creative output without sacrificing originality, craftsmanship, or the personal creative touch that makes great content stand out.
About StemWave & How This Role Fits In
StemWave is one of the fastest-growing medical device companies in the U.S. We develop and introduce revolutionary technology designed to reshape traditional healthcare. Our technology utilizes focused acoustic waves to alleviate pain and activate the body’s natural healing processes, giving healthcare professionals an incredibly versatile treatment option within their clinics.
We rely heavily on digital advertising across platforms like Facebook, Instagram, and YouTube to reach prospective healthcare providers and drive qualified leads to our sales team. At the same time, we are continually elevating the quality of our organic social media and overall brand presence.
Video plays a major role in both.
Our content needs to be engaging, polished, visually compelling, and built with a strong understanding of pacing, storytelling, design, and audience attention.
You’ll have access to extensive libraries of B-roll, stock footage, animation, logos, music, graphics, and other creative assets. We’re looking for YOU to bring those ingredients together in fresh ways through slick editing, strong storytelling, thoughtful sound design, motion graphics, and creative experimentation that continues to push the StemWave visual identity forward.
AI-Enhanced Creative Production
We believe AI should amplify great creative talent, not replace it.
We are specifically looking for an editor who has already experimented with, researched, and implemented AI-assisted workflows within professional video production.
This does not mean simply generating videos with AI.
We want someone who understands the traditional editing process and has discovered practical ways to use AI to eliminate repetitive work, accelerate production, improve organization, streamline revisions, and ultimately allow an editor to spend more time making the creative decisions that matter.
That could include using AI to accelerate processes such as:
Reviewing, logging, searching, and organizing footage
Transcription, captioning, and text-based editing
Identifying selects and usable moments from long-form content
Creating rough cuts or assembling initial timelines
Audio cleanup, enhancement, and sound workflows
Masking, rotoscoping, object removal, and green screen workflows
Asset discovery and organization
Versioning, resizing, and adapting content across platforms
Creating or enhancing supporting visual elements
Automating repetitive production tasks
Streamlining feedback and revision cycles
We want someone who has already done some of this R&D independently and can bring new ideas, tools, and processes to our team. You should be excited to experiment with emerging technology, evaluate what actually improves the workflow, and discard what doesn’t.
The goal is simple: increase the speed and output of our creative pipeline while maintaining the originality, taste, attention to detail, and personal creative touch of a talented editor.
Roles & Responsibilities
Marketing Content Creation
Work closely with the Marketing team to edit high-performing video content for paid digital campaigns across Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, and other platforms.
Create attention-grabbing content designed specifically for digital audiences, balancing performance marketing objectives with strong creative execution.
Branding Content Creation
Collaborate with the Branding team to create polished video content for our website, YouTube library, social media, provider materials, presentations, campaigns, and other brand initiatives.
Help continually evolve the look, feel, pacing, and creative language of StemWave video content.
AI Workflow & Production Innovation
Actively identify opportunities to improve our video production pipeline through AI, automation, new software, and emerging creative technologies.
Research, test, and implement tools and workflows that can reduce repetitive work, shorten production timelines, and allow the creative team to produce more without lowering our standards.
Share new tools, techniques, and workflows with the broader creative team and help determine where they can meaningfully increase efficiency and output.
We move quickly and expect strong production output, typically 4–7 completed video edits per week, while maintaining a consistently high creative standard.
Required Skills & Experience
Professional video editing experience with a strong portfolio of polished work
Excellent understanding of pacing, storytelling, composition, and visual hierarchy
Strong motion graphics and design skills
Strong understanding of sound design and how audio contributes to an edit
Experience editing content specifically for digital and social platforms
Proficiency with professional video editing software and the Adobe Creative Suite
Hands-on experience incorporating AI tools into professional video editing or post-production workflows
Demonstrated curiosity around emerging creative technology and a track record of independently researching and testing new tools and workflows
Ability to work quickly without sacrificing quality or attention to detail
Preferred Skills & Experience
Adobe After Effects
Motion graphics and animation
Green screen removal
Compositing
Advanced sound design
Color correction and grading
AI-assisted post-production workflows
Workflow automation
Experience developing or optimizing high-volume creative production pipelines
Familiarity with emerging generative video, image, audio, and post-production technologies
Competencies & Character TraitsCoachable
We need someone who takes feedback well and is hungry to learn and grow. We have a team-based environment that communicates transparently and provides direct feedback and coaching to bring out the best in each other. There is no room for ego on this team.
Team Player
You’ll be joining a growing Marketing and Branding organization. As we scale, we expect everyone to contribute beyond their individual assignments, support the people around them, and help make the entire creative team stronger.
Strong Communicator
Clear, proactive communication is especially important in a remote environment. You should be comfortable communicating progress, asking questions, sharing ideas, receiving feedback, and ensuring everyone is moving in the same direction.
High Standard of Success
We want someone who cares deeply about the quality of their work. Speed matters, but never at the expense of craftsmanship. Cutting corners, consistently missing deadlines, or accepting “good enough” is not how this team operates.
Hungry & Motivated
StemWave is growing rapidly, and we want people who are excited to grow with it. Our team is ambitious, self-motivated, and invested in what we are building together. The motivation of each individual has played a major role in our rapid growth, and we’re looking for someone who wants to contribute to that momentum.
Ingenious
We want you to bring ideas to the table. Experiment. Find better approaches. Show us techniques, tools, and creative possibilities we haven’t considered. We are constantly looking for fresh ways to stand out in the marketplace and encourage our creative team to challenge how things have always been done.
AI-Curious, Not AI-Dependent
We want someone who sees AI as another tool in the creative toolbox, not a substitute for creativity.
You should know when AI can save two hours of tedious work, when it can unlock a new creative possibility, and, just as importantly, when the better choice is to rely on your own skills, experience, taste, and judgment.
We’re looking for someone who stays current with emerging tools and actively experiments with ways to incorporate them into a professional creative workflow. You shouldn’t be waiting for someone else to tell you how AI can improve your job. You should already be exploring it.
The best candidate will combine the instincts and taste of a talented editor with the curiosity of someone who is constantly asking:
“Is there a better way to do this?”
Compensation
Starting at $8/hr
At StemWave, we want talented creatives to be able to build a career, not simply hold a position.
Our Creative Team operates on a defined seven-level career ladder, with opportunities to progress from Junior Creative → Creative → Senior Creative → Lead Creative → Principal Creative → Master Creative → Chief Creative.
Advancement is based on the growth of your craft, the quality and consistency of your work, your ability to take ownership, your contribution to the team, and the impact you have on StemWave’s creative output.
As you progress, you’ll have opportunities to take on higher-visibility projects, own creative workflows, help mentor other team members, influence creative standards, and ultimately help shape the direction of the StemWave brand.
We provide typical progression ranges so team members understand what the path ahead can look like, but advancement is never automatic or based solely on tenure.
Time makes you eligible. Performance gets you promoted.
For someone who is ambitious, continually developing their craft, and consistently raising the bar, there is a real path to grow within this team for years to come.
