Virtualization & Infrastructure Engineer

Salary: ₱90,000 – ₱100,000 per month

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Systems & Infrastructure Engineer to manage, maintain, and optimize enterprise IT infrastructure. This role focuses on server hardware, virtualization, storage, backup and recovery, and infrastructure performance. The ideal candidate has strong hands-on technical expertise in enterprise infrastructure operations, complex troubleshooting, and root cause analysis, preferably within an MSP or data center environment.

Key responsibilities

• Manage, maintain, and troubleshoot enterprise server and infrastructure environments.

• Administer virtualization platforms, including VMware vSphere/ESXi and/or Microsoft Hyper-V.

• Support physical server hardware, including Dell PowerEdge and HPE ProLiant.

• Manage enterprise storage solutions, including SAN, NAS, iSCSI, and Fibre Channel.

• Administer backup, recovery, high availability, and disaster recovery solutions.

• Perform infrastructure monitoring, performance tuning, capacity planning, and proactive maintenance.

• Execute firmware upgrades, hardware lifecycle management, and infrastructure changes.

• Investigate and resolve complex infrastructure incidents and perform root cause analysis.

• Support infrastructure automation, scripting, and hybrid cloud environments where applicable.

• Maintain technical documentation and follow incident, problem, and change management procedures.

About you

• Strong hands-on experience in enterprise systems and infrastructure engineering.

• Proven experience with virtualization technologies such as VMware vSphere/ESXi or Hyper-V.

• Experience with physical servers, enterprise storage, and backup/recovery solutions.

• Knowledge of infrastructure monitoring, high availability, disaster recovery, and capacity management.

• Ability to independently troubleshoot complex infrastructure issues.

• Familiarity with PowerShell, automation tools, and cloud platforms such as Azure or AWS is an advantage.

• Experience in an MSP, enterprise infrastructure, or data center operations environment is preferred.

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and technical documentation skills.

• Amenable to work onsite daily in BGC, Taguig City, should be open to nightshift/shifting schedule.
